Grace Bible Church was started in 2002 by a group of regular people who believed our city needed a church that was small and simple; focused less on programs and buildings and more on teaching all the truth of the Bible, loving people, and showing people who Jesus is and how they can know him.
We don't have an impressive church building, and we don't try to entertain with videos, skits, and professional music. Those things are not necessarily bad, it's just that they can distract from what a church is supposed to be about. We're not ashamed of the fact that we preach the Bible and hold fast to the truths Christians have believed for thousands of years. The constant elements in our services are worship through singing, worship through the reading of the Bible, worship through prayer, and worship through hearing what God has to say to us in a sermon based on His word.
Children were important to Jesus (Mark 10:14) and they're important to us too! See our Childrens' Ministry page.
Though occasionally a sermon or short sermon series will be organized topically, our usual practice is to preach sequentially through books of the Bible. We think this is the best way, because when we follow the sequence of a book of the Bible from week to week, we end up studying all the topics God has told us about and placing emphasis where He has placed emphasis. Sermons typically run around 45 minutes, and all seek to explain what a passage of scripture means and how God would have us obey it.The goal of our sermons are not simply to help people know more information, but to equip people to become "doers of the word, and not hearers only" (James 1:18).

At our services you will find a great variety of dress, from jeans and t-shirts to suits and ties and everything in between. We believe this is another issue where the Bible allows freedom, and that God is concerned primarily with the heart of a person and not their outward appearance.
Biblically, the church is not a building but a group of people. We have met at a variety of locations in our church's short history, starting in a home and moving up from there. The Christian school where we currently meet is an ideal place for the current time in the life of our church. The facility is large, gives us many classrooms to use, and our rent is much less than the cost would be for permanent facilities of similar size and quality. This allows us to be good stewards of the resources we have and to invest in mission and in our staff and ministries. That said, there would be advantages to having a permanent building, and we are open to pursuing one in the future as God provides.
We celebrate the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month, during the morning worship service. Communion is open to all who trust in Jesus Christ as their savior - membership is not necessary.
Sermons are usually based on the English Standard Version (ESV).
