We treasure our children; they are a gift of the Lord (Psalm 127:3). Jesus himself cherished children and blessed them, saying, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven” (Matt. 19:14). It is a joy to serve and pray for the next generation.
We believe that God has given parents the primary responsibility and privilege of bringing up children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4; Deut. 6:4-9). Our Children’s Ministry is committed to supporting and encouraging parents in raising their children to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus, desiring the salvation and growth of all the children in our church. We pursue this in Childrens’ ministry by:
- Praying regularly
- Exalting the Lord Jesus Christ
- Proclaiming the life-changing message of the gospel
- Teaching the authority and sufficiency of God’s Word
- Teaching all of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation
- Modeling loving the Lord with our whole hearts
- Loving children as ourselves

The 2009 GBC Annual Meeting will be at FCS at 5:00 PM this Sunday, March 1. The meeting will be a time of worship as we come together to sing, pray, look back on ministry in 2008, offer a financial report, and look forward to the ministry of GBC in 2009. Nursery and Children's programs will be available. Following the meeting, dinner for everyone will be provided.

- Communion during morning worship.
- Adult Sunday School: God's Design for Men in the Church.
- Children's Sunday Schools study Joshua 2:1-15.
- No monthly fellowship lunch, because there will be dinner following the annual meeting in the evening.
